Oops, he did it again
As an aside at the weekend's Progressive Conservative party convention, Hudak once again touched on the subject of Toronto's transit debate.
As premier, Hudak said he would direct the provincial agency Metrolinx to work with Ford to build more subways, rather than the light-rail plan endorsed by a majority of city councillors.
Which puts it about as plainly as it can be put: Hudak would ignore the way Toronto's municipal government is structured and would simply override a decision by the city's democratically elected council to impose a decision from above. Spoken like a true believer in the democratic process.
Remember when Tim Hudak was concerned about provincial politicians meddling in municipal business? You should. It was about ten days ago.

I discovered while reading the Sunday Sun on the train on a Tuesday, that Hudak wants the Mayor to have the power to Veto council, as they do in the States, and he intends to make that happen.
And that would suggest that a Hudak government would look for ways to take power away from the legislature and concentrate it in the premier's office. Not surprising, actually. But not encouraging.
