Edited to add Globe and Mail editorial about the Thunder Bay police to the Justice section because it relates directly to the Wawatay News item about the NAN filing a human rights complaint. If I'd saved the Globe piece for tomorrow, you'd probably wonder why it was in there.

Not helping, Dalton
great post. I find McGuinty pretty nervie after removing the right for unions to collectively bargain, and showing utter disrespect by purposely misleading and misrepresenting the situation.
-
Happy now, Dalton?
They want all the new teachers in, the older teachers out and wait for the 'voluntary' union dues legislation to be passed. Here come McGuinty Mondays.

We get mail
To call it a conspiracy would suggest that the Ontario Liberals have some other goal in mind than simply hanging onto power by any means necessary. I'm not sure I buy that. The Liberal backroom operators that currently see political advantage in being confrontational with organized labour are quite capable of doing a complete about face if they see advantage in it.

We get mail
So then it's a conspiracy. Libs/Cons want to destroy labour legislation together?

It's about ignoring any possibility of raising taxes or resource royalties. It's about giving cover to the government for cuts.

Wow. From the few links I read it is about Do as I say, not as I Do.

Oops, he did it again
And that would suggest that a Hudak government would look for ways to take power away from the legislature and concentrate it in the premier's office. Not surprising, actually. But not encouraging.
-
Oops, he did it again
I discovered while reading the Sunday Sun on the train on a Tuesday, that Hudak wants the Mayor to have the power to Veto council, as they do in the States, and he intends to make that happen.

In which it becomes apparent that a major minority still isn't a majority
No he hasn't, that was made-up by the media.

Giving up plum cabinet posts, hmm, wondering if he is just going to exit, if he doesn't get the Speakers job.
