about onpoli.ca

Ontario has a population of over 13,000,000 people. In 2009 the province's GDP was more than $570 billion. For the fiscal year 2010-11, government revenue and expenses are expected to be approximately $106 billion and just under $123 billion respectively for a deficit of $17 billion. The provincial government includes 26 ministries and assorted Secretariats and Directorates thrown in for good measure (there's a list here).  It seems like there should be more than enough material here to fill a website.

The focus here is on politics, policy and governance in Ontario. The site itself is non-partisan in that there is no official connection to any political party though that certainly doesn't mean that individuals with official connections aren't welcome to participate.

Subject to change should the spammers notice us and decide we're worth bothering with, anonymous users can comment without registering. Registered users can be promoted to also allow contributing blog entries and stories and if you're already a blogger, cross-posting is welcome if it concerns Ontario politics and you're so inclined. If you follow the blogs link in the main menu, you'll see everyone's entries in one stream as if it's a group blog. But if you click on a user's name, you'll be able to see just that user's entries as if it's an individual blog. You can provide links to just your blog or to an individual entry.
